Don protégé
Hi, we're the Chingcuangcos and we are in the process of adopting Aisea, a little baby boy from China. We are adopting through Bethany Christian Services and are in their China Special Needs Program. Our son whom we got matched with is 19 months old now and is diagnosed with two medical needs. He was abonded at 4 months old and was very sick, weak and could not keep any food down. He required surgery for his medical needs and we praise God that he has revovered well! We are hoping to bring him home this summer to get the love, care and further medical attention that he needs. The hardest part of our adoption process is knowing that we have a little son in China, yet have to wait these few months to bring him home.
We have been in the adoption process for a little over a year now and if any of you are familiar with an international adoption, this process has gone a lot faster than expected. Although our social worker anticipated a match for our family this summer, we got a match this past January (6 months earlier than we had thought)! What this means for us financially is that our post referall fees (fees you must pay after a match with a child) are due much much sooner than we had anticipated. The whole adoption process costs about $30,000, and so far we have paid $15,000 of our adoption fees ($12,000 out of our own pockets and $3,000 from a grant from Show Hope). We are applying for two more grants and fundraising through this site to help pay for the remainig half of our adoption fees.
God placed it on our hearts to adopt a little child from China and we know that He will provide everything necessary to make this happen. We ask that you prayfuly consider helping our family out. And for those that do, we thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.
