Running to raise funds for the Regional Neonatal Unit
My grand-daughter Meabh made a surprise appearance on Saturday 6th April, weighing in at 1095 grams and 12 weeks premature. In the past week we have witnessed at first hand the incredible and caring approach by all staff involved in her care. From the doctors, nurses, cleaners, receptionists and other support staff they have all made this experience a lot easier on everyone and the care for her has been second to none.
Thankfully baby Meabh and her mother Niamh are growing stronger by the day and as myself and my son Piaras (Meabh's uncle) are running legs in the marathon in 3 weeks we thought this would be a very nice way of saying thank you on behalf of Baby Meabh.
