Moving back to the U.S.A.

Dear Family and Friends,

After nine years in Finland, I've been forced to make one of the hardest decisions of my life. Due to increased financial pressure (higher cost of living and reduced income), I will be moving back to the U.S. The lease at my current apartment (where I've lived on my own and with my children for the last 3+ years) ends on July 31st. This gives me a very small window of time to sell or donate what I’m not taking and keep the rest in storage until I know where I need to send it. In the meantime, I will be staying with family in the midwest until I get back on my feet.

I’m setting up this GoFundMe to help cover moving costs, a local storage unit, van rental, and airfare. Jeremy and the three small children will be moving back as well once we determine which state we plan to settle in.

The next few weeks are going to be incredibly overwhelming and emotional, and the thought of being away from the kids for an indeterminate amount of time is going to be extremely difficult, but I’m hoping that this will at least help ease the financial burden somewhat.
