A Life Forever Changed: Help Percy Recover

My name is Nichole, and I’m Percy’s grandmother. I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of our daughter and family to share what happened to Percy and ask for your support as we fight for his healing and his future.

We never imagined we’d be here — sharing something this painful, this personal, this heartbreaking.

But we have to speak up. For Percy. For his sister. And for every child who can’t.

Percy is only 2 months old. He was a happy, peaceful baby — innocent, deeply loved, and surrounded by people who thought he was safe.

Then everything changed.

Percy was violently abused by a man we trusted — his own father. A man we welcomed into our lives. A man we believed was part of our family. He betrayed all of us in the worst possible way.

Percy was slapped, choked, and punched by a grown man. His tiny body suffered unimaginable trauma. Doctors told us his injuries were so severe they looked like something from a car crash.

He had brain bleeds. Seizures. Retinal hemorrhaging.

That alone is unthinkable. But then came more.

Doctors told us this wasn’t the first time Percy had been hurt. They found signs of three separate incidents. Internal trauma. Silent damage. No bruises. No visible signs. We had no idea. We were blindsided.

And then we learned Percy’s big sister had also been harmed.

She never said anything. She was just a little girl trying to be brave. But she was hurting too — quietly, in the care of someone who should have protected her.

The pain and betrayal we’re experiencing as a family is more than we can explain. But we are standing up. We are speaking out. And we are doing everything in our power to fight for these children’s healing and future.

Their mother — our daughter — acted the moment she saw something was wrong. She didn’t hesitate. She trusted her instincts, got help immediately, and made sure Percy was safe. She is a fiercely loving mother — the kind who would do anything to protect her babies. And now she’s fighting to rebuild their lives with everything she has.

We are walking this journey with her — holding her up, surrounding her with love, and doing everything we can to create a safe, stable, healing future for these children.
