Ayni Smith Caregiver Relief Fund

Ayni's partner Mattie is terminally ill and Ayni has accepted the enormous responsibility of being his caregiver in her home as he faces his final days. She is his sole caregiver with the help of local hospice and has had to leave work to take care of her love. She faces not only the devistating reality of losing her partner, but also a heavy financial burden with the loss of income during this time.

Ayni is a true giver in every sense of the word, her kindness, warmth and laugh have touched us all. A seat at her bar is a seat at the family table the way she makes even stranges feel welcome. She puts her family and friends first and now needs us to give as well as she does. Because Ayni works as a server and bartender, there is no sick pay and no paid time off. The purpose of this fund is to relive the stress of rent and bills as she navigates through this incredibly difficult time. The care of Mattie should be her only obligation at this time and we can come together as a community to help Ayni and Mattie. Our girl needs us now more than ever. For every hug she's given freely, or beer she bought you on her tab, for the friendship she's shown you, or the way she's opened her home to you, cooked for you, laughed with you, for all the times she listened to your problems, shared your joy and pain and comforted you, now is the time to return that love with what you can.
