About Me:
~ Ayna Ramseur-Moore: 16 year old sophomore
~ Scholar, Athlete, and Public Servant
~ At school, I am enrolled in Algebra 2, World History, English Literature, Chemistry, Theology, Spanish 3 Honors, and Computer Programming. I participate in the Diversity Club, Leo Zoological Club, and Dance Club.
~ I am on my school's Varsity basketball and softball teams. I have played basketball, softball/baseball, and soccer since fifth grade.
~ Outside of school, I volunteer at an animal shelter, coach sports teams and participate in a Reptile Club at a community youth center.
~ I love technology, animals, being outdoors, and traveling.
~ I have volunteered in both my community and abroad with non-profit organizations accumulating more than 200 hours in 2 years. Last year, I was given the opportunity to travel Costa Rica on a cultural immersion and community service program with the group The Road Less Traveled. I spent three weeks there with a group of students from varied states. I helped the people of Tucurrique, Costa Rica improve their homes and taught English in the local schools. A few weeks after the trip, I received a President's Volunteer Service Award. This award of community service hours certified both my time spent and the postive impact it had on my life. The purpose of travel not only made me and my peers face our fears and test our limits, but I became more open-minded, mature, and aware of nature and the world as a whole.
~ My future plans are to attend a college that offers studies in Computer Science, Zoology, Ecology, and Wildlife Conservation. I hope to eventually study abroad to solidify my career options.
~ This year, I have been accepted to another program where I will travel to Spain to experience the emergence of technology in urban culture or travel to Guatemala to care for native endangered species and improve their habitats. In both of these countries, my goals are to improve my Spanish communication skills and venture into adventurous explorations while I serve a community in need.
