August Feliciano-Turecki: A Short Yet Precious Life

Dear Friends and Family,

My name is Rob Staff and I am heartbroken to share with you the news that my beloved nephew, August Feliciano-Turecki, took his last breaths two weeks ago with a gestational age of 34 weeks.

His incredible parents Nathan and Christel are grappling with this immense loss and grief. Whilst the day they found out that precious August's heart had stopped beating was no doubt the most difficult day of their lives, the days and weeks that followed would be just as difficult as they worked through giving birth, saying hello to August, saying goodbye to August, and then planning how they would commemorate him.

These are things that two parents should never have to deal with and I wouldn't wish it upon the worst of my enemy. Whilst nothing can truly ease the pain they are feeling right now, the thought that they would need to spend a single cent to pay tribute to their son is inconceivable to me and that's why we are reaching out to you for your support.

We have already received an incredible outpouring of support from the small number of people that are already aware of the tragic events and from people who continue to ask how they can possibly help during this time.

We ask that if you are willing and able, that you please make a donation to help cover the costs involved in commemorating August's life. Christel and Nathan are still working through the details and deciding what the next few days and weeks will look like. But with your support we can be confident that they will be able to make the decisions that they want to make, without financial limitations.

In addition, 20% of all donations will be donated to Heartfelt Australia and New Zealand. Heartfelt is an incredible volunteer organisation that provides photographic memories to families experiencing stillbirths, premature births, or children with terminal illnesses. Whilst August's life has been cut short, their great work has provided Nathan and Christel with life-long memories including the one that we have shared with you.

We appreciate any contribution, big or small. Your support means the world to us during this difficult time. Thank you for helping us honour August's memory and give his loving parents one less thing to worry about during this incredibly difficult time.
