This is a fundraiser being set up to help me and my siblings provide our mother with proper funeral and burial services.
Unfortunately my mom passed away on June 22, the day before my younger brother's 19th birthday and the day of my sister's 18th birthday. My mom was an extraordinarily unique person, and she definitely put her kids before her own life. For us, it was very sad how we got the news, because a longtime friend of the family is actually the one who found her. My mom was like a second mom to a lot of our friends and a best friend to the others. She always gave what she could, even though she had very little. She was a caring and loving person; if you needed someone she was always there, it's still a shock that she passed away so young.
It is so surreal that she left all four of her kids behind; my older sister, who is 25, me at 22, and both my younger siblings. I still do not know how to process everything that is going on, but we're definitely trying our best to make it through this for everyone.
