We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved brother, Haarith Ibn Sabur
Abdurrahman. At just 21 years old, he leaves behind his devoted wife and their one-year-old daughter, Aisha.
A Young Man of Faith and Service
Haarith moved to Indonesia with his family at age 12. For seven years, he attended a boarding school where he memorized his portion from the Quran.
He later became a Qur'an teacher at a large local learning center, which has over 400 students.
He married a sister who is a Hafidh and Qur'an teacher at the same learning center.
They recently welcomed their daughter, Aisha.
Haarith returned to America to engage in business and trade to support his new family who remained back home in Indonesia. His time here in America was tragically cut short.
The Sudden Illness and Diagnosis:
Only three months after arriving in America, Haarith developed severe, unrelenting headaches.
After an initial misdiagnosis, a second trip to the hospital and a CAT scan revealed the
devastating truth:
He was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer: Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma. The cancer had already metastasized to his brain, lungs, liver, kidneys, adrenal glands, and other areas of his body.
A Difficult Final Battle
An attempt was made to remove the brain tumors causing the headaches, but the surgery resulted in severe complications that caused Haarith to lose some cognitive abilities. He did regain some faculties, but the cancer in his body was too advanced.
Due to the extensive spread of the cancer in his lungs, it became impossible for him to breathe on his own.
Haarith passed away on the night of Jumuah. His Janazah and burial were performed the same day.
Our Appeal: Support His Young Family
We are now focused on supporting Haarith's family, his widow and young daughter, Aisha, as they navigate this unimaginable loss and future without their husband and father.
Your donation will go directly to:
1. Aisha’s care (an orphan)
2. Providing long-term financial stability for his family in Indonesia.
Haarith's family has been left with a void that can never be filled. Help ease their financial burden as they grieve. Support the family he cherished.
May Allah bless and reward you.
