As many of you know, my mother, Stacy Faglie, has been battling stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma since July of 2019. She has fought against cancer for the last 6 years, never giving up on herself in the process. If you had the pleasure of knowing my mom, you know she was the bravest woman you'd ever meet. She took cancer head-on and never slowed down. She defied all odds when it came to her prognosis and showed everyone what a true fighter looks like.
Unfortunately, her fight has come to an end as the cancer has spread to her brain, leading to brain swelling and loss of her cognitive abilities. This, in turn, led to her getting an infection and developing sepsis. She was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning and was moved onto hospice today. Her care team is working to keep her as comfortable as possible during this time.
As this has happened so abruptly, we are raising funds to cover her funeral as well as to cover outstanding bills from her trips to MD Anderson and to allow my family the time we need to grieve and spend time together during this. Anything is appreciated, even just sharing will help out greatly.
