- My name is Bob Halloran, and I was asked by Amy’s mom and dad if I could help their family raise some additional funds to help pay for the huge expenses associated with the recent passing of their daughter Amy Hunt. After a lifelong battle with cancer this single mother left behind two children and one grandchild who will be born in April. The family has been under a tremendous financial burden and up until now has managed to cover their expenses on their own with family support. My hope is that through this fundraising effort we can help ease the financial burden and allow them to continue to mourn the passing of their mother, daughter, sister and soon to have become a grandmother. Through Amy’s sacrifice, many others will be able to live longer and healthier lives because of the lessons learned by the medical profession in treating Amy. She literally offered herself in the hope that others would not have to suffer as she did.
