Houston Harvey Support for Animals

Call us crazy, but we're going to Houston!  Sometimes you can't sit idly by while people and animals are suffering so greatly.  We are taking a cargo van of kitty litter, paper towels, cat food, cat & dog treats, dog crates, towels, stainless steel dog bowls, leashes, collars, dog food etc. to Houston to assist the shelters that are overwhelmed by flood waters.  We are using this Fundraiser to cover the expenses of the trip.  We estimate the rental cargo van to cost $500, gas approx. $500 and lodging for the 3 nights of the trip/food while we drive less than $500.  Anything we collect above our expenses we will give to the same rescue organization(s)/shelter(s) that we give the supplies to.   We have a confirmed destination in Houston - in conjunction with the Rescued Pet Movement and the Houston Humane Society, we'll be helping to set up a temporary shelter facility.   Please support us anyway you can.  We will be leaving Des Plaines early Friday morning 9/1/17.  If you have supplies that you would like to contribute, please contact us!  We need to have the items in Des Plaines, IL by Thursday night 8/31.
