One of our key projects is the garden and community precinct outside Ascension church which we make freely available for people to meet or rest in the heart of Midland. It is maintained through church resources and the physical efforts of a team of volunteers. In addition to a place of tranquillity, the garden supports vulnerable community members to feel pride by making a contribution through gardening.
The garden needs developments and upgrades and we are seeking financial support to enable this.
- The reticulation system is redundant and needs to be replaced;
- hazardous slab paths should be upgraded to safer paved areas;
- newer seating with back supports would provide more comfort for visitors;
- general beautification and ongoing maintenance.
Our 2024 fundraising target for this project is $10, 000
