Art For Change: Help Kata Start A Cultural Center
Hello there! My name is Kata, and I am reaching out to you today to share an incredible opportunity to support the establishment of a cultural center and a global network of galleries to collaborate with artists & art apprentices in Kasese, Western Uganda, East Africa.
As a graduate of United World College Costa Rica with past Visual Art & Computer Science Courses at Wartburg College in the U.S., I am deeply committed to giving back to my home community while building my career. For the past five years, I have worked with a dedicated team in Uganda in collaboration World's Education for Kids e.V. Germany, and other well-wishers to offer education in the arts, technology, and nature conservation to 100 children annually. You can learn more about the edu project collaboration through World's education's official website.

But now, we are focusing on the next phase in our Implementation Pipeline by establishing a Cultural Center. The Cultural Center will provide a space for artists and creatives to showcase their work, and offer apprentices free art classes, so they too can earn and be able to support their traditional school education (elementary-grad level) and start their own enterprises within the community. This project will benefit everyone in the community and help us build a brighter future for all.
Here's where you come in: we need your help to make this project a reality. The funds we raise will be used to create an onsite coworking space and gallery, with outdoor shades and the necessary infrastructure for creatives to access the internet and build an online presence. We will also hire two full-time art and culture curators to organize exhibitions and cultural immersion experiences for travelers, fostering multicultural dialogues and access to the arts market for creatives within the community.
To purchase kids art, and that of their Mentors, visit the virtual Gallery: https://ecohubafrica.com/gallery/

Additionally, we plan to represent Ugandan art at international exhibitions and establish a market base in collaboration with art galleries globally. Your donation will help motivate creatives in the community to focus on their creative and learning process while ensuring their art is showcased at exhibitions or art centers around the world.
Our implementation timeline is set to start in Spring 2023 and continue over the course of two years, with daily updates on past impact and current progress. Your donation will help us carry out daily operations, ensuring that we finish all ongoing developments and scheduled curations onsite.
I'm proud to say that in the past, my partner and I launched an Elephant-Bees coexistence project focused on nature conservation and alternative means of living. The pilot project was set up at Eco Hub Africa and is still in its first phase of implementation, ensuring bees move into the hives thanks to our research on Save the Elephants projects across the African continent and a project in Santa Catarina, Brazil.
Please consider supporting our cultural center project today. Your donation will make a huge difference in the lives of the artists and creatives in our community. Thank you for your time and generosity!
