Arsenio Alvarez was known to be a good, hard-working family man who got along with everyone. He went to work on March 8, 2017, as he did every day. Shortly after arriving at a job site for a demolition company, he was brutally attacked from behind by a worker from another company (day laborer) and killed. The other worker has been charged with first-degree murder.

His wife Lilian and their son Jonathan (born with a chronic genetic heart condition where his heart's valves do not function correctly. He requires constant monitoring and future valve replacemnet) are devastated. In addition to losing a much-loved husband and father respectively, they have lost their primary source of financial support.
While Arsenio's employer has paid for all funeral expenses both here and back home, we ask your cooperation in establishing a fund to pay for their day-to-day expenses until they are able to get back on their feet.
