April Gill’s Multiple Myeloma

April Gill is a wonderful friend and mother who discovered she had Multiple Myeloma after X-rays she received when she was rear ended in a car wreck showed her spine looked like it was being eaten by termites. This terrible cancer literally eats away at your bones.  This week April has been having her stem cells harvested so she can have a stem cell transplant and reboot her immune system enough to buy her some years.  I was sitting with her during her treatments today because her husband could not take off any more time from work.  Her husband, Donny, walked in and announced when he got to work that morning he was fired and they wouldn’t give him a reason.  April is currently on Donny’s insurance and losing his job today is the worst news they could have in fighting April’s cancer.  April and her family are wonderful, loving, hardworking people who are so loving and make friends with all who know them.  Please consider helping them during this terrible ordeal in their lives.
