With a broken heart we are asking for help on behalf of our friend, Wilma, who was just sent to hospice today, April 4, 2026.

Her illness started just two months ago with stomach problems that caused her to seek help because she had gotten to a point where she could not keep any food down. After much testing it was found that she had stomach cancer that was metastasizing rapidly. Wilma never ended up leaving the hospital, and is now being kept comfortable at hospice awaiting her impending death.

Wilma is a 38 year old loving wife, and mother of three children, the youngest of which is 7 years old. She is a hardworking, strong Christian woman who loves the Lord with all her heart.

We are asking for funds so that she may have an honorable funeral here on Long Island, and then to be able to send her body home, to be buried in the presence of her family, in her home country of Equador.

If you have had any experience transporting a loved one’s body, you would know the tremendous financial weight added to an already grieving family.

Funeral costs are nearing $9000 and we are requesting that you prayerfully consider giving as you are led. Funds will be needed as soon as possible.

Con el corazón roto, estamos pidiendo ayuda en nombre de nuestra amiga Wilma, quien fue trasladada hoy a cuidados paliativos (hospicio), 4 de abril de 2026.

Su enfermedad comenzó hace apenas dos meses con problemas estomacales que la llevaron a buscar ayuda, ya que llegó a un punto en el que no podía retener ningún alimento. Después de múltiples estudios, se descubrió que tenía cáncer de estómago que se estaba propagando rápidamente. Wilma nunca salió del hospital y ahora se encuentra en el hospicio, recibiendo cuidados para mantenerla cómoda mientras espera el desenlace de su vida.

Wilma es una amorosa esposa de 38 años y madre de tres hijos, el menor de tan solo 7 años. Es una mujer trabajadora, fuerte y cristiana, que ama al Señor con todo su corazón.

Estamos solicitando apoyo económico para poder darle un funeral digno aquí en Long Island y luego poder trasladar su cuerpo a su país de origen, Ecuador, donde podrá ser sepultada junto a su familia.
