"So many times I have scrolled through articles like this and thought to myself “How tragic , my heart goes out to the families… etc." But this time it’s different because now MY family is on the other side of the story. I’m hesitant to share, but I know my child is literally a walking miracle because she could have been dead. When a hospital calls you to tell you your daughter has been stabbed multiple times…. And then the detective says it was an attempted murder suicide, there are no words."

These are the thoughts of a mother who had to fly overnight-- 4 states away-- to a hospital room with over a dozen medical workers diligently tying to save her daughter's life. And today, as a family, we are faced with everything that comes after a domestic tragedy. Now its time for surgeries, rehab, relocation, and another chance at life.
