It's hard to believe that a year has passed since our last Bikeathon on May 30th 2020. What an enjoyable and successful event that was - we were overwhelmed by the goodwill and support of our community and also the great support we received from those outside of our community.
A lot has happened since then and although 'green shoots' are visible, we still find ourselves in a 'lock down' situation. Our online Bingo was our only fundraising initiative this year and while it was very enjoyable we only managed to run it on a break even basis.
As a result we have decided to organise our Second Annual Bikeathon to take place on Saturday June 5th from 8am to 6pm. A group of people have kindly volunteered to take part in this years cycle and help raise much needed funds to aid the reopening of our community building.
The cycle will be in relay form and will be keeping with all current recommended guidelines. Anyone wishing to follow and donate to the event can do so via our Aghamore Community Development Facebook Page via the Go Fund Me Link. https://gofundme.com/f/annual-aghamore-bikeathon
