I grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon. When I was in elementry school, I got bullied a lot. I was not just teased about my name, but was on the losing end of many fights. When I was eight, I started Kung Fu, and it changed my life. I still got into fights up until the first few years of highschool, but I stopped losing. When I was 17, I fractured a vertebra and wasn't able to keep up with the hard kung fu class, so I started studying tai chi and other internal martial arts that had slower movements that I was able to do. I also learned more about body mechanics and how to move heavy objects without hurting my back. This set me on the path to become a personal trainer and pursue health and physical education as well as wanting to continue to learn more about Chinese medicine. Right now, I'm working on fininshing up a bachelors degree in Health and physcial education. Then, I plan on going to school to become a doctor of Chinese medicine so I can help even more people.
