Angela's road to stem cell

Angela has always been a motivated and active spirit. She spent multiple years serving her community, working multiple jobs consecutively, training for fitness competitions, and so much more. In December 2019, Angela started experiencing numbness in her legs, feet, and hands. It was not until later that we realized just how serious her symptoms would become.

In February 2020, after multiple tests, doctor visits, and MRIs she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder known as CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy). Since then, she has been forced to stop working and has lost the ability to walk.

On May 3, 2020 Angela woke up and was unable to move the lower half of her body. She was rushed to the Emergency Room  where she then got admitted into the hospital and proceeded to spend the next 3.5 weeks receiving treatment and therapy.

Sadly, there is no cure for CIDP, and she has not shown much progress with any of the treatment she has received. 

We have been informed about a stem cell opportunity in Mexico for people with her disorder. At her young age, we are hopeful that with early treatment closure will be provided. More importantly, we hope this treatment will help Angela attain a new, clean bill of health. 

Any money received will go straight to medical bills and the funds needed for Angela to be able to receive the stem cell transplant that she needs. We remain hopeful, and as always, Angela remains motivated to continue going to school to receive her doctorate and to start her new business while also tackling this life-changing illness.
