Angela and Maddie’s accident

Hi my name is Linda, and my daughter Angela and granddaughter Maddie were in a horrific auto accident last night. While traveling on 22, coming out of Circleville, they were struck by another vehicle that came threw a stop sign at a high rate of speed. Neither car had time to react, stop or even slow down. Angela’s van went into flames on impact. When she came to she worked to get Maddie, who was covered in blood, and herself out of the burning van. She couldn’t move her legs but pulled herself to the back and by the grace of God got the side door partially open and squeezed herself and Maddie out. Within a minute the van exploded. They called life flight for Maddie but were able to get her stable and squadded her to children’s where she was examed. They quickly found fluid in her tummy and prepped her for emergency surgery. So also had a gash on her chin, broken facial bones and busted out front teeth. They went in and had to repair a tear in her large intestine and also another in her lower by her colon. The surgery took longer than expected but they were able to do the repairs needed. She will be having another surgery this week on her mouth and face.

Angela was squadded to FMC where they did a cat scan, MRI, EKG and multiple X-rays. God had his hand on her because she came away with no internal injuries and no broken bones that they can see right now. She can’t bear any weight on her left ankle and both knees are a mess. She has what looks like road rash on her leg also. She is in a non weight bearing boot, ace bandages on both knees and in unimaginable pain threw out her entire body.

Maddie is going to be in the hospital for some time while she recovers from one surgery and they watch for any infections and prepare for another. Jeramy has taken off of work for at least a week to be at the hospital and to help care for the other 4 kids who are at home and really struggling with it all. Angela is released and at children’s with Maddie also.

Anything helps right now. The family is driving up and back to children’s and needing to feed the others at home along with themselves while at the hospital not leaving Maddie’s side. Their van is totaled and Angelas phone and purse was inside the van and burnt up in the fire. Nothing can be saved in the van.
