Greetings, my name is Wawīra (wah-way-rah).

I am a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, and cultural worker who believes deeply in the power of art to create safe spaces for dialogue, healing, connection, and remembrance.

Through painting, wearable art, storytelling, and creative workshops, I create opportunities for people to reconnect—with themselves, with one another, with their culture, and with the land.

For more than a decade, I have carried a dream in my heart: to create a place where art, culture, healing, and community can live side by side.

That dream is becoming real.

Welcome to Andu Arts Village

Andu Arts Village will be a peaceful retreat and creative space in central Kenya, in my ancestral home.

It will be a place where artists can create freely.

Where stories can be shared.

Where families can gather.

Where people can slow down, reconnect with the land, and make space for healing.

It is a place I hope will nurture not only the people who visit today, but generations who have yet to come.

I Found the Land. Now I Need Your Help to Build the Vision.

Finding land in my ancestral home was one of the greatest challenges I faced in bringing this dream to life.

After years of searching, I finally found the land where Andu Arts Village can take root.

That moment meant so much to me.

After carrying this vision for more than a decade, I could finally see the possibility of turning it from an idea into a physical place—a place people could actually walk into, gather in, create in, and call their own.

Now comes the next chapter: building Andu Arts Village., and I cannot do it alone.
