In mid-August, we lost our dear friend Andrea Ritland. Andrea was a kind-hearted and loving friend, known for her athleticism, honesty, community service, storytelling, and wonderful sense of humor. Andrea held great compassion for others, volunteering regularly for support groups for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
In honor of Andrea's memory, we would like to create a scholarship for Lodi High School graduating seniors, the same high school that Andrea graduated from in 2001. Specifically, we would like to create a fund to support students who share Andrea's compassion, advocating for marginalized voices and those who do not feel that they can speak up for their needs.
