An answer for Abigail
Yesterday my sister’s beautiful family’s world was rocked when they found out my 8 week old niece had two cysts located on her brain. She was sent to the ER and was admitted for Neurosurgery to start a game plan for her treatment. This comes 3 days before they were to fly home from LA for a celebration of life for our grandfather who passed away in December due to Covid. ( we had to delay. Thanks Covid, UGH! ) This diagnosis comes with surgery tomorrow morning to drain the fluid and future treatment to observe these cysts and keep them under control, which can be an easy road or a tricky one, time will tell.
A little about their incredible family. My sister is my hero. They took the biggest leap of faith I have ever seen a family make and moved themselves, ( my sister, Rachael, my brother in law, Ben, and my nephew ) out to LA so my brother in law could grow in the Lord and attend The Master’s Seminary College and begin their journey into leading and growing a congregation one day. Now, we have no family out there..none! We are all here in the very green, very flat state of Ohio! My nephew was just shy of 2 at the time and they trusted God’s plan and off they went to the Sunshine state! My sister stays home and homeschools my nephew and my brother in law works for the Seminary and is learning and educating himself constantly. The faith, which doesn’t even seem to be a big enough word, that they have in our Savior is unlike anything I have ever seen. Which brings us back today with my niece. Their faith is getting them through this very scary and expensive time. Who knows what comes next after Abigail’s surgery tomorrow, but I’m sure the medical bills are already accruing. My brother in law is blessed to work for the Seminary, which will help accommodate with time off to be at the hospital but the cost of the tasks in front of them are overwhelming to say the least. They are currently in a hospital 2 hours from their apartment, eating from vending machines and cafeterias, as they do not want to leave my niece understandingly. Thankfully my brother in law’s mom was able to fly out to stay with James, my nephew, but we are hoping to give them a cushion for daily bills, groceries, gas money, food costs and those increasing medical bills.
We don’t know what the future holds for Abigail, hopefully all good things! But we need your help to ease at least one of the burdens this incredible family is facing.
This fundraiser is not common knowledge to them, as they are very humble and strongly believe the Lord will provide for them. And I believe that too, and I think this is how.
If you can find it in your heart to donate, THANK YOU from the bottoms of our hearts sincerely. If you cannot, we get it! All we ask is that as you lay down to sleep tonight, please say a prayer for this amazing family. May they find comfort and peace in The Lord’s hands and may He find it in his graces to heal Abigail and reunite this family.
Thank you, thank you and thank you again!
