Amanda Swart, our sister, suddenly passed away at the age of 35 in Peterborough Hospital March 31, 2017. She was a loving mother of 2 beautiful children Ryan, 3 and Sabrina, 1. Amanda was born with Cerebal Palsey and grew up on a farm in Havelock with her father Peter, mother Ann and brothers Christopher and Gary Swart. Later in life met her other sister Bonnie. Amanda was always a happy litte girl despite her disability who grew into a beautiful young independent woman. Amanda at a young age lost both her parents and was forced to live on her own in Peterborough. Amanda through the years battled much life through poverty. She never had much money, but she didn't care, she was happy, healthy and loved her family very much. Amanda was fortunate to be able to experience having 2 wonderful children, Ryan 3 and Sabrina 1. 2 months ago Amanda was brought into the hospital for having stomach pains and retaining fluids. After constant testing and draining of fluids, Amanda's liver seemed to be failing, but to no avail. Doctor's exercised what they could to try and treat her. Only this week the results of a biopsy was revielled. Amanda had a blood clot so they started blood thinners. Within 2 days Amanda took a turn for the worse. She sadly passed away leaving her children behind. Amanda would always care about anyone else and help who needed to be helped. She was an angel in disquise. We are trying to raise funds to pay for her funeral costs as Amanda didn't have any money, insurance, or benefits. This was a complete shock to everyone. I am Amanda's sister, Bonnie and I want to help raise the funds to allow Amanda the proper buriel for her in Havelock so she may rest in peace with her parents. Any support would be greatly appreciated.
