Alice's Leukemia Fund

My beautiful, sweet, 5yr old granddaughter Alice has been diagnosed with leukemia.  She and her dad are currently at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. 250 miles from home. They will be there this time about 10 days while Alice starts chemo treatments. She will be in treatment for at least 2 1/2 years.  They will travel back down once a month or her chemo and other tests.
Alice, her 4 yr old brother Austin and dad, Dan live with me. 
Dan is a single dad so he works full time while I work part time and take care of the kids.
Alice's illness will change the entire dynamic in our home and incomes. Dan will have to take time off work to take her to treatment and for any unforseen complications.
I am planning to stop working to care for her and her brother full time. Her immune system is and will be very compromised so she will no longer be able to go to school or to other outdoor activities. I am planning on homeschooling her and will do all I can to keep germs at bay. This is only the beginning of a very hard road for Alice and our family We are humbly asking that you help however you can even if it is only sharing this post.
