Alfie the Pup Radiation Therapy

Hello friends. This is my best friend, his name is Alfie. He was born on April, 29 2014. He is six years old and weighs 74 lbs.  Alfie came into my life when he was four months old.  I saw his picture online and fell in love with him immediately. I got him from a breeder, David Miller, in  a small Pennsylvania town called Bird In Hand. I drove six hours to PA, and then six hours back to Rhode Island in the same day. 

It was sooo worth it. Alfie is part of my family. He is incredibly smart, gentle, curious and has a unique personality. He loves unsalted saltine crackers, his dinosaur toy, car rides, swimming and ear scratches.

Though Alfie is only 6 he recently had a fibrosarcoma tumor on his neck removed. My brave boy made a smooth recovery. However,  two weeks later and he has developed yet another tumor, this time on his nose. The animal hospital performed a cat scan and a biopsy and the vet determined this nasal tumor had now developed in to his nose and began eroding the bone. The vet's recommendation is to perform radiation therapy for a few weeks. This procedure is very expensive considering the fact that I do not have pet insurance for him. I did not think we would have to worry about cancerous tumors at such an early age. Overall, Alfie's health is great. He is energetic,  playful and continues to show unconditional love, putting a smile to anyone around him. Although I cannot afford this procedure at the moment, and even though i am currently studying to work in the dental field in an accelerated dental hygiene program, I will continue to work, fight and overcome this obstacle, for Alfie. 

I am asking you to help Alfie. Pretty much anything will help at this point. The radiation therapy procedure will cost us around $10,000. We are going to do everything in our power to get Alfie the medical help he needs to get better.
