Alex Dawson's Emergency Medical Care

Hi friends,

My dear sister, your dear friend, Alex Dawson had to have emergency surgery on Tuesday night for what turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy that ruptured. She had suffered a dangerous miscarriage a few weeks before but they did not see this second pregnancy until it was too late. She was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery that removed the exploded mass. She lost 4 liters of blood and was in critical condition in the ICU for several days. (The human body only has 6 liters of blood!) She beat the odds and SURVIVED!!

She was finally released from the hospital yesterday and is back at home with her family. (This is HUGE!) Alex and her husband Dan have an incredible three year old child, Ronan, who is so happy to have his mama back home after a scary week of uncertainty.

As you all certainly know, health care in this country is mega expensive and an extended stay in the ICU after a major surgery is sure to be a huge expense even with their insurance. We are looking for support for their family to help cover the medical costs of this terrifying experience and to give some peace to this family after all they have been through this week. Certainly Alex will be away from work for a long time recovering and just the ambulance ride alone can break the bank.
