Don protégé
On the early morning hours of January 2nd 2024, Aldrich ~ Al or Mad Dog (as some of his friends called him) passed away very unexpectedly and suddenly from a heart attack. He was only 41 years old and had so much life left to live.
He served proudly as a Marine and received a Purple Heart during his service. Aldrich was a friend to so many, warm and funny and focused on having as much fun as humanly possible. He will receive some benefits from the VA but there are many costs we will have to cover ourselves.
We are in the process of trying to purchase two plane tickets for his mom Angela and sister Grace to come from the Philippines to attend his funeral.
All of the funeral home costs will need to be paid by us with the VA benefits going towards his burial in the VA cemetery. We are expecting the funeral costs to be approximately $5000-$6000, the 2 plane tickets $2500, and an Airbnb stay for $600-$800. This is the basic estimate of costs we are expecting.

Please know that any money received will be used for these expenses as stated and should we receive more than enough we will pay it forward to other veterans once we ensure his family has what they need.
His viewing will be held at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home in Ormond Beach and he will be laid to rest at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims Florida ~ we will have the service dates just as soon as we have the dates of travel for his mom and sister.
As Al’s girlfriend, I was blessed to spend the last six months with this handsome funny guy who would call me up and sing his favorite karaoke songs to me just to cheer me up when I wasn’t with him. We wanted to help each other reach our goals and that time was cut short. I miss him more than words can say. For anyone who loved him, I share your grief and I’m so sorry.
We all lost a very special person, a bright bright star.
