We are the Al-Rous Family in Gaza. Over 26 of our family members were murdered by the Israelis the last few months. Our home was bombed and we are living in a small tent. After years of trying to have a baby and doing vitro fertilization we had two children. Our 2 year daughter was killed by Israeli bombs and our son was in critical condition in the hospital. The hospital was bombed and our son is hardly holding on to life and now living in a small tent with four adults. The weather is cold and rain floods the tens where we are up to our knees in cold water for hours at a time. We have no blankets and jackets and dying from lack of food, heat shelter and sanitation. Due to food, diapers, medicine and items being scarce everything is very expensive and we are starving. We have lived through so many bombings and massacres I don’t know how we have made it and are still alive. A few days ago a group of people ran to food aid trucks and over 100 people were massacred by Israelis. They wait for Palestinians to gather looking for food and bomb and sniper areas so many of us are too scared to run up to get food when it is available and many have starved to death around us. There are millions of people and we are purposely being starved and snipered by the Israelis for fun. In the last 145 days I have watched all of my friends families and neighbors die around me.
