Al Luna's Medical Fundraising

On August 25, 2018, Tito Al was rushed to the Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla in San Diego, CA, and was admitted into the intensive care unit. Tito Al is staying in San Diego with his wife, Tita Leilani, to visit and spend time with his family. Tito Al is very much excited and joyful to meet his first apo (grandson) with Alleina and Ed; Alleina is due to give birth in September. Sadly, this is hindered by his current medical condition. Initial findings of the doctors found a blockage in his brain caused by a cerebrospinal fluid. MRI tests also showed that he had a tiny embolic hemorrhage that can cause episodes of stroke. He may also be requiring surgery to remove the blood clotted vessel in his brain to prevent future attacks. The medical team is closely monitoring and evaluating Tito Al’s condition. As a tourist in the U.S., emergency medical procedures can be costly. Fortunately, Tito Al is under Blue Cross insurance. However, this doesn’t guarantee that the company will cover the entire costs. So, we are knocking on your generous hearts for help in covering some of the costs (i.e., major surgeries, airlift transport to Winnipeg) that Tito Al’s family may need through this difficult time.
