AJ THE SMILEY WARRIOR

My name is Jaida Blackwell. I am a  Registered Nurse and have had the opportunity serve as homecare nurse to Andrew also known as AJ, when he was a baby. He will be five years old in September.

AJ has a rare genetic disorder and is one of two recorded cases in the world! This condition has sent him to the most technologically advanced hospitals and Pediatric ICUs in the country.

I have seen the extended hospital stays that AJ has endured for most of his life. I have unfortunately witnessed the devastation of how his health status has affected his highly educated and hardworking parents. His mother hasn't worked for almost three years and his father is struggling to support his family on a single income.
When AJ is not hospitalized, he is home. His parents have a major goal to buy a house for AJ so that he can have his own room. AJ has multiple pieces of life saving medical equipment and shares a small space with his brother as well as his much needed 24 hour nursing staff.

I am launching this GoFundMe (with permission from AJ's parents) page to ask all well meaning individuals and benevolent organizations to help raise a down payment for a house to enable AJ to have a personal room that will accommodate all of his medical equipment, and his homecare nurses.
