The loss of my son, AJ, on June 19, 2025, due to gun violence changed my life forever. As a father, the pain, confusion, and heartbreak were overwhelming. But as time passed, I realized I didn’t want AJ’s name to be remembered only for tragedy—I wanted it to stand for hope, love, and positive change. That’s why I created the AJ Forever Foundation. I began reaching out to the community, giving out food and drinks in AJ’s name, and connecting with people who needed support. Each act of kindness helped turn my pain into something meaningful. Visiting AJ’s gravesite recently, I was surrounded by love and reminded that his impact lives on through the people he touched.

Now, I’m planning the Second Annual AJ Forever Celebration of Life event next month. This event is about more than just remembering AJ—it’s about feeding the community, bringing people together, and showing love in action. Every dollar raised will go toward feeding families, supporting the event, and continuing outreach in AJ’s name. I believe that even in loss, we can create something beautiful and lasting.
