On the evening of 8/1/25, our brother Eric and his wife Lori received a call that no parent is ever prepared for. Their 17 year old son Noah, was involved in a horrific and traumatic motorcycle accident in Ozark, Missouri.
A vehicle operated by another 17 yr old, pulled out of Lamberts Cafe parking lot into Noah’s path and was immediately struck. Noah did not have time to brake or swerve to avoid the collision. Noah struck the vehicle and the impact threw him over her car and sent him crashing into the asphalt, resulting in multiple open/compound fractures on both arms and legs.
Thankfully, Noah is a safety nut and never rides without his helmet on. The evidence of it hitting the asphalt is sickening.
Noah suffered a small brain bleed despite the helmet, his right femur snapped, along with an open/compound fracture of his left tibia right below his knee, his right wrist suffered an open/compound fracture and his left wrist/arm as well. He also had a splenic bleed along with bruising under his chin from the helmet and abrasion’s to his chest area from the impact.
Noah has a long road of surgeries and recovery ahead of him. He will have to go through an immense amount of physical therapy and is 100pct having to rely on his parents for every basic need possible as he is unable to use his arms and legs for the next 8-10 weeks. Basic needs that we take for granted- eating, bathing, going to the bathroom, brushing teeth, brushing hair.. Lori and Eric will have to do everything for their 6ft 2in, 17 year old son until he is able to use his extremities again. That would be a lot for anyone to handle.
Our brother Eric and his wife Lori are the most hard working, loving and kind people there are. He works long hours out of town during the week driving a truck, and was able to take this week off to be with his family and is out of vacation.
Some things about Noah- he has big dreams!! He is obsessed with the weather and storm chasing! Remember that he is a safety nut? He makes sure to stay behind the storm and watch at a safe distance. A few years ago he dressed as Ron Hearst in storm shorts for Halloween and was given a tour of KY3! (I know you know what Ron Hearst outfit I’m talking about too ) Noah also started his own small landscaping business last year and that’s how he funds his storm chasing dreams. Unfortunately he will be unable to finish out this mowing season for his clients due to his severe injuries and he is devastated.
We are coming to our friends, family and communities to ask for financial help during this hardship they are facing. Normal bills are stressful enough so adding the daily rising medical bills for the foreseeable future without health insurance- is a major stress factor that they do not need to think about right now. Their focus needs to be on Noah and the challenges his recovery will bring.
Please consider providing financial help for our brother, sister and nephew. Any amount helps, and we are forever thankful.
With grateful and thankful hearts,
Becca, Felicia, and Cody
