Aid Gabriel's Family in Their Time of Need

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Colvin. The baby you see in the pictures, his name is Gabriel; that is my son. He was born at 30 weeks. He was also born with a serious and rare birth defect called aplasia cutis congenita with bone defect; he was missing the skin and skull on the top of his head. He spent 7 weeks in the NICU. While in the NICU, he contracted NEC. After we were released from the NICU, he ended up right back in the hospital having to have emergency surgery due to having a stricture in his intestines from the previous NEC. We spent 2 more weeks in the hospital after the surgery. They removed his entire right colon and appendix. During this hospital stay, we also found out my baby has pancreatic insufficiency. We finally went home. 3 weeks later, we ended up back in the hospital and went straight to ICU, finding out my son had the rhino enterovirus and sepsis due to E. coli. My son is still in the hospital. Due to all of this, my husband has had to miss an incredible amount of work, and we have had to spend an insane amount of money driving back and forth to see our other four children and still be with our son who keeps trying to die on us. Because of this, we are over $3,000 behind in bills and at risk of losing our place to live, our vehicles, and if we lose those things, we lose our children. We are good parents in a hard situation with our very ill baby and just need some help. If it’s in your hearts to help our family, we would be very blessed and thankful.
