Aid Dakarai Jackson Jr. and Family in Crisis
Donation protected
Dakarai Jackson Jr., a senior at Tapestry High School in Buffalo, NY, started his final year of high school with high hopes of building lasting memories and completing his high school journey with much success and accolades. Dakarai was two months into his senior year when he began to feel tired and sluggish, unable to perform normal day-to-day things as he was used to. On November 15, 2024, while watching the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, Dakarai's mom took notice of his change in behavior. A teenage boy usually engaged in spectating and watching sports was not his normal self and was also complaining of pain. After sleeping the following day away, it was decided to take Dakarai to the emergency room where he underwent various tests and bloodwork; something seemed seriously wrong. On November 16, 2024, Dakarai was admitted to the hospital where it was determined that he had Acute B-cell Leukemia and would need to start chemotherapy right away. Due to this drastic life change, Dakarai has been out of school and unable to engage with peers as he used to. His parents were doing their absolute best to make ends meet with all the medical bills and additional care he now needed until the family was hit with yet another bombshell. On February 3, 2025, Dakarai's dad, Dakarai Jackson Sr., the primary provider for the family, was laid off from his job of which he worked for 24 years due to the closing of the company.
In the midst of caring for the now high needs of Dakarai Jr. with the added pressures of maintaining the household and supporting the other children in the home, the family and friends of the Jackson family humbly seek your support to cover medical expenses and bills. Every single cent will be appreciated for a family whose life was turned upside down in the fall of 2024.
