After many years of surviving major health problems, Lee died on June 6, 2014, from complications of a traumatic brain injury incurred by a fall on May 23. He was in ICU for 2 weeks with eight consulting doctors on his case. Unfortunately, he left exorbitant medical bills (from this time and previous illnesses) which must be paid by his wife, artist and writer, Carol Everhart Roper. He had no life insurance.  To thank you for your help, anyone who contributes over $150. may choose to receive a signed and dedicated giclee print of her original photo-composite artwork which may be reviewed at www.carolroper.com. Lee's ongoing medical bills have resulted in Carol and Lee losing their home, so your help, of any amount at all, will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for remembering Lee.

If you are unable to contribute anything but want to honor Lee, Carol asks that you do something that you can manage to help another person in need, in Lee's memory, in the spirit of "Pay it Forward." Lee was such a generous person, and nothing would please him more than to know he inspired other people to act compassionately.
