Addisyn's brain surgery

Donation protected
On April 26th, 2020 our lives changed forever. My baby girl, Addisyn, was hospitalized with what we would later find out to be epilepsy- right frontal focal seizures.  We were transported by ambulance to the university of MInnesota Masonic Children's hospital. We stayed while they ran tests, mri, and while we awaited some meds to help control her seizures. It was the worst day/week of my life. With covid just hitting, I was alone in a hospital watching my daughter have seizure after seizure. We left the hospital still having seizures and talking about possible brain surgery, scary. That talk was short as she took really well to the medicine after trial and error.  She was seizure free about 5 months(or atleast unknown to me if she was having them). The doctors and I decided since she was doing so well we would take her off a medicine, well it went great until about 2 weeks after she was completely off. Seizures started again January 11th, 2021. Medication is still not keeping her seizure free and shes on 3 medicines twice a day. Brain Surgery is the next option. Believe it or not we are in a 5% category of people who can get the surgery.  Addisyn has right frontal lobe, which is the front right part of her brain they call a silent part.  The mri and brain scans match (very unlikely with epilepsy), so we are blessed to say the least.  She has been a trooper throughout the last year of appointments,  blood draws, mris, and everything in between. Surgery will be scheduled next week for may. They will cut her open, remove the tissue and such and sew her back up. She will immediately go into icu,  as protocol. Then be moved as she gets better.. As I am excited, I am nervous, I am a wreak, I am stressed to say the least, but I know she is in great hands, and Believe in the power of prayer as well. I will be out of work anywhere from 3-6 weeks depending on her recovery. My short term and long term disability I pay for through work does NOT cover my time off because it's NOT my disability! Asking for help is not a strength of mine, I have too much pride. I support my family 100% and without my income it will be a tough couple months. Any help is greatly appreciated,  prayers are appreciated,  happy thoughts, and any support are  appreciated!!
