Sober live lounge- SMART recovery

I’m hosting a new event to raise awareness for sober musicians. All performers will be celebrating recovery from addiction and will perform 10 minute sets each from around the world, live online.

There is still a massive taboo around addiction in the music industry, it is common for musicians to be offered alcohol instead of payment at live events. It is unspoken that a lot of creative people and musicians can suffer with addictive tendencies and it is normalised to live a ‘rock and roll’ life style in the music insdustry, with drugs and drink being common place. I’ve been there myself and want to start a new project, where the music takes centre stage- not the messy lifestyle that is sometimes expected.

This will take place each month and will be an amazing chance for sober musicians to network and meet and get a chance to perform without the temptation of being around toxic substances.

Come along and enjoy some amazing musicians playing acoustic covers and originals!
Donations for SMART recovery charity are optional but welcomed!
