Hi! I’m Lily, a 13 year old girl from NYC and I love to dance. Recently, I had my Bat Mitzvah, a ceremony where a young girl is called to read from the Torah and takes on responsibilities of her own. During this process, girls usually volunteer at a non-profit organization of their choice. For the past few months, I chose to teach a dance class for 5-9 year old girls in Harlem.
These girls have worked so hard over the course of a few weeks and as a gift to them, I would love to raise enough money to be able to buy them ballet slippers so they don't have to dance in socks, leotards and tights so that they can wear something other than street clothes, tutus (because they informed me "that's what real ballerinas wear") and mirrors so that they can see themselves dancing and improve their skills.
It means so much to me for young girls to be inspired and find a new passion in dance. As someone who started dancing at a very early age, it makes me proud to introduce other young girls to ballet. I would be so thankful for you to donate to my cause. Every penny counts!
