Abandoned kitten needs blood transfusion

One morning three weeks ago I went for a walk in the park before work. As I was walking I noticed something pulling at my shoelaces and squeaking. I looked and saw the tiniest kitten I’ve ever seen in my life. Next to her was a wet tipped over cardboard box with a rag inside. No one was around and no one was reacting to this situation. She kept following me and pawing at my shoe. Being allergic to cats and never having one before I wasn’t sure how to handle it, but I picked her up and brought her in my car. I immediately started researching. I went to the store and got milk replacement and a bottle. Took her home, set her up a warm space, fed her, and kept her there. In 2 days she was an energetic wild mischievous kitty. I thought to myself ‘I guess I have a cat now’. Brought her to Vetco and got her a wellness check. All good! Kitty was ready to be a cat and get the chance to live a full life.

I bought her all kinds of toys, scratch things, rattles, yarn, and set her up for success. I would come home everyday on my lunch break to feed her. She never left my side.

a few nights ago I noticed that she wasn’t pooping and started acting tired and slowed down. I took her to the vet this morning and they had me bring her to urgent care. Turns out she is very anemic has low low white blood cells and an enlarged liver. Treatment would begin with a blood transfusion costing 4000- 5000 dollars. The vet told me I needed to consider compassion and euthanasia. She told me to go enjoy some more moments with her, and that the anemia might take her while she is home with me.

if I can raise the money I am taking this kitten to the hospital for a blood transfusion and a chance to survive. I want to give her a chance to be a cat and to do all the things she wants to do. Chase mice, swat things, and be a cat.
