The Health Executive Student Organization (HESO) seeks to advance the professional goals of our members and expand their knowledge of healthcare management excellence, through high ethical standards, pertinent training, and interactions with senior healthcare executives.
This year, our organization is fortunate enough to participate in the Alternative Breaks program offered at FIU. Alternative Breaks gives students the chance to travel near and far, push boundaries, and learn about issues that affect all types of communities. This program also provides service-learning through strong direct service, this hands-on approach gives students a greater sense of community and self.
This being said, HESO is motivated now more than ever to ensure a successful aB trip for a health related cause. Many individuals live in conditions that they cannot control without any basic or necessary healthcare available to them. HESO is determined to travel during our Summer Break of 2014 to Nicaragua and change this for a community in desperate need of our help. Any donations will be a huge help toward our fundraising efforts.
