Funds for the cataract operation in the right eye of Gabriel Barahona

In the year 2021 my father Lindor Gabriel Barahona (71) is diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. After many efforts, my family got the funds to operate the left eye, which was successful.

Two years have passed since the operation and my father is progressively losing sight in his right eye.

The political, economic and social situation in Venezuela is chaotic. According to UN reports, more than seven million people have fled the country in search of a better quality of life. In the last three months, the national currency has lost 60 percent of its purchasing power, while the minimum wage remains the lowest in the region ($30) and there are shortages in hospitals, power lines, and drinking water.

That is why we open this campaign to collect the necessary funds for its operation as indicated in this budget.

Fondos para la operación de cataratas en en el ojo derecho de Gabriel Barahona

En el año 2021 mi padre Lindor Gabriel Barahona ( 71) es diagnosticado con cataratas en ambos ojos. Tras muchos esfuerzos mi familia consiguió los fondos para operar el ojo izquierdo, la cual fue exitosa.

Han transcurrido dos años desde la operación y mi padre está perdiendo progresivamente la visión en el ojo derecho.

La situación política, económica y social de Venezuela es caótica. Según informes de la ONU más de siete millones de personas han escapado del país en aras de buscar una mejor calidad de vida. En los últimos tres meses la moneda nacional ha perdido un sesenta por ciento de poder adquisitivo, mientras que el salario mínimo se mantiene como el más bajo de la región ( 30 $) y existe escasez en hospitales, tendido eléctrico y agua potable.

Es por ello que abrimos esta campaña para recolectar los fondos necesarios para su operacion tal como indica este presupuesto.
