Help Ukrainian team participate in Telders Moot

We are law students of National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy, who are currently participating in the international law competition - Telders Moot Court - in the field of public international law.

At the moment, all four of us are trying to complete our bachelor’s degree and successfully graduate. Simultaneously, we are helping Ukraine and trying to stay active in different ways. For example, Alina and Vladyslav help out one NGO in documenting war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine, Andrii organizes humanitarian projects for Ukrainian refugees abroad, and Bohdana volunteers in various initiatives in her hometown.

Financial matters of the Ukrainian teams’ participation in the Competition have always been a challenge, even before the full-scale Russian invasion. Due to various pressing issues, in the previous years, the University has not been able to sponsor the Teams’ participation in the rounds, which compelled the Teams to seek funding from Ukrainian law firms, organizations and private persons. With the pandemic and then war on the soil, the situation has become even direr. Resources of private persons and entities, including those of the team members, are directed at securing a livelihood, humanitarian needs and the country’s fight for survival.

Despite various challenges, personal and nationwide, despite bombings and blackouts, the team is extremely dedicated to participating in the Rounds representing the University and Ukraine in June. This is why the team feels compelled to kindly ask you to consider making a kind contribution towards the payment of the flight tickets, accommodation and personal expenses (3500 EUR).
