A Tribute to Pastor & Capt James Roscoe Knowles

It is with a heavy heart that we are creating this Go Fund Me. On May 14, 2020 The Knowles family lost the patriarch of our family James Roscoe Knowles. He was our father, a devoted husband, an uncle, a grandfather, a brother, a son, a friend, a Pastor, boat captain, and a dedicated hard working Christian man. While his life was cut short, God was ready for him to take the next steps in his journey, even though we were not ready to let him go. In his time on this Earth he accomplished more than most in a lifetime. He traveled, he spent his career doing what he loved, he had a loving marriage of over 30 years, but his biggest accomplishment was raising four amazing and successful children. 

Our father touched so many lives in his time here, educating those around him and all he met from diving to Christianity, to the importance of continuing to always challenge ourselves and educate ourselves to have a better future.

Unfortunately, his passing was sooner than he had planned for his family. While most of his children are grown and leading their adult lives, the baby girl of our family has not even turned 16 or graduated. His hopes for Juji were to find something she is passionate about and go on to college to become successful and spend her life doing whatever she loved. To find her passion and continue her education beyond graduation. 

As we all know, sometimes it is not always so easy to put aside funds for the future while trying to maintain the day to day life. That goal is now even more challenging with the loss of another income. So, we as a family would like to set up a scholarship fund in honor of our father for the one last thing that will give him peace...seeing his baby girl go off to college. He has always encouraged his children and stressed the importance of a good education and seeing Juji soar will be the brightest gift we can give him.

A college fund account has been setup for Juji and we are asking in place of gifts, flowers, etc for donations to this college fund. We know these are hard times for all, we only ask if you are able. If not, know that your prayers, love, and support are just as valuable to our family. God will provide and dad will always watch over us all to guide us in the right direction to the right paths.
