To all Friends and Family, as you guys know there have been many devastating natural disasters that have unfortunately impacted the lives of many, including my sister Liliana, my nieces Narieli and Velani, and my brother in law Xavi. Hurricanes Irma and subsequently Maria, left the whole island of Puerto Rico completely flooded, without power and ultimately uninhabitable. They are now predicting a humanitarian crisis due to the lack of water, food, gasoline, and electricity. After 10 days of anguish and patiently waiting for her to call, I finally received the most unforgettable call of my life. It was her and we both broke into tears. She’s doing well and in good spirits however, even though she’s trying to stay positive and has a strong will and unwavering faith, I know deep inside she’s a bit worried and scared that she has lost everything. To be honest, I know they have lost everything. Although it’s all material things that can always be replaced, the economic burden this is placing on her and her family is surely in the back of their minds. They are practically starting over. I have opened this GoFund me page with the purpose of inviting all of our family and friends to join me, my mother, and brother in helping my sister rebuild and get on her feet returning to a state of normalcy. We have purchased her plane tickets and is projected to be back next week god willing. She knows I’m opening this page and even though she was hesitant since she’s always been so giving, independent, proud, strong willed, and worked so hard for everything she has accomplished, I believe maybe this time she deserves to be blessed with the generosity of the people that love her.
