Supporting Black Oven's next steps
Donation protected
Since 2015, Black Oven has been a source of joy for our community, surrounding communities and visitors alike. This past year, we’ve had a taste of what could be this town’s greatest attraction alongside the farmers market and Lake of the Woods. We’ve been spoiled with sourdough pizza, bread, cinnamon buns and more at the shop on Second Street in Kenora.
Due to circumstances out of Sharalei's control, she's been forced to leave the current storefront. As regular customers, we all know how much love and effort was poured into making it a beautiful and welcoming space for all. Sadly, the Second Street shop will be closed as of November 1st, so our current goal is to help bring a new version of the Black Oven back to our community, which we know will be just as amazing or even better.
Funding will go towards expenses the business will face without operating as planned in the current location, such as equipment bills, storage, a potential pop up solution, additional temporary equipment, services for temporary spaces and any unexpected expenses that may come up.
If you have the means to contribute to our goal to support, the Black Oven community will be forever grateful. We can't imagine Kenora without the warmth this business has created.
If you have questions or ideas for fundraisers beyond this GoFundMe initiative, please don't hesitate to contact me or the Black Oven directly. Your support means the world to us.
