A Gift for Nicole and Her Family

About a month ago, my sister Nicole received the news no one wants to hear… that her cancer is back and is now in her kidneys. With hope in the air we were trying to remain optimistic that it was “just” renal cancer and not metastatic lung cancer. However, the day before Thanksgiving she received the call…. Stage 4 Lung Cancer. We knew that her cancer was eventually going to come back, however, no one expected it to come back so quickly.

As a single parent of 4, with 2 boys still at home, the news that this cancer is going to take her life is hard to digest for everyone. We are in the planning phase to help ease both the financial burden of medical bills and missed work during upcoming treatments. In order to try to slow the growth of her tumors, she will begin either Chemotherapy or Immunotherapy within the next few weeks and will need extra help make ends meet. In order to try to help, I am setting up this GoFundMe account to help get her through the holidays and help plan for what is ahead. Our family has already been through this once 12 years ago when our Mom lost her life to Lung Cancer. The pain and stress is all too familiar for my sister and family.
