I'm Toto Guo, a mixed British-Chinese influencer from London. I've always wanted to make a film about the struggles of the Chinese community in the UK. I think my way of telling stories can impact Western audiences in a new way, because so far they've pretty much only been exposed to Chinese martial arts, romance and comedy.

Please help make this film a reality!

It's a kitchen sink drama, but also an exciting thriller - using a British 'style', but with Asian characters who rarely get a spotlight.

My dad is from Beijing, and spent over 40 years on the streets of London sharing Chinese traditional music. When racists threw things at him and kicked his sign, it broke my heart. When female Asian classmates at school were targeted for being 'easy', it broke my heart. And my whole life growing up mixed-race in London has been confusing, not properly understanding if I'm English or Chinese.

But I've always loved London's Chinese community like a family, from my street cleaner mate in Chinatown, to business people, to so many of the new students arriving each and every day. I'll be telling our stories in this movie, to show the strength of overseas Chinese in the face of discrimination, prejudice and yellow fever.

People who kindly support my channel might have noticed I don't release as many videos as before. It's because I've spent this year desperately organising this project, at the same time as supporting my parent’s videos: totally by myself, and communicating with people in Mandarin (my Mandarin isn't good, all self-taught, and I can't read or write). To be honest, the tasks have been endless, and I feel very sorry for myself!

So far in my career, it's been a great honour to represent China in the UK at shows like Chinese New Year, through my hundreds of videos sharing Chinese culture, and at so many charity events. But sometimes I feel like it's all too positive and fun, kind of superficial. It's time to tell the whole story, including the tragedy and hardship.

My biggest honour has been to help my dad and mum find a creative window by starting their channel; as you know, this really helped when my dad had a stroke and had to retire. The support of our friends has been the most important thing.

When I was young, I always felt it was so unfair that overseas Chinese characters never had their real story told in British or American dramas; always comedy, kung fu or fantasy. This is a dark story, about racism, yellow fever, family, and the entire community. But after the story is told, I hope it will have a meaningful impact.

Sometimes people doubt my sincerity, doubt my efforts; but I never let it stop me. I am proud to keep going, sharing Chinese culture, speaking my poor Mandarin, and sharing love to the world as a young Chinese man! This is the next step in my journey, and I thank each and every person who has been there along the way!

我是郭头头，一个在伦敦长大的中英混血儿。所有关心我的朋友们：我一直想讲一个故事。这个故事，是关于所有在海外的华人遇见的不公平待遇以及他们的勇敢。我想，现在是时候把这个故事拍成电影了。

我有一个来自北京的父亲，我的父亲在过去的四十年间一直在伦敦的街头表演中国艺术，他是一个笙乐手。当种族主义者向我的父亲扔东西并辱骂他，我实在于心不忍。当我学校的中国女生受到白人男性的玩弄，我实在于心不忍。当英国的青少年向留学生泼脏水骂脏话，我实在于心不忍。而我自己，作为一个在伦敦长大的混血儿，也一直在问自己一个同样的问题：我到底是中国人还是英国人？

我一直将海外华人视作我的家人，不管是街头的清洁工还是亿万富翁，不管是刚来留学的留学生，还是移民到这里的华人。所以，我想将我们这个大家庭的故事，用电影的方式讲述出来。我想讲述关于海外华人面对种族主义，偏见和黄热病时的坚贞不屈和勇敢善良。

大家可能也已经注意到了我最近发布视频的频率大不如以前了。原因就在于我想把这个事情做起来。与此同时我在不停地精进我的中文，所有的事情到现在基本都是我自己在完成，用中文去找团队，去找合适的演员， 等等。但我知道，靠我个人的力量是难以完成的，所以我需要你们的帮助。

我一直以代表中国为荣，不管是主持英国官方的活动，还是通过我的个人频道以及我的生活。但是我觉得这样是不够的，因为这些形式很难对英国社会产生持续性的和深远的影响。我觉的，我们中国人，是时候去拍一个这样一个能对英国社会真正产生影响的故事了。

另外，我想说的是，在过去的这么多年，在海外看到的很多影视作品，都对中国人的形象刻画有一定的丑化，我觉得是时候反击了。

所以，如果任何人愿意帮助我来完成这样一件有意义的事情，我将不胜感激。我希望将我父亲的故事作为一个缩影带给世界，告诉全世界每一个人，关于中华民族的勇敢和坚韧。你们的每一份支持，都可能让这个梦想成真。

这或许是一个黑暗的故事，关于种族主义，关于黄热病，关于所有的不平等，也关于所有海外华人群体。但我相信，在这个故事被拍出来之后，更广阔的英国社会甚至全世界都会听见中国人的声音，都将看清事情的真相。

曾经有人会质疑我的真诚，质疑我的努力，但是这些质疑都不能让我停下。作为中国人，我非常自豪能宣传中国文化，讲中国话，将中国的大爱传递给世界。我非常感激，和我站在一起的你们，我爱你们，每一个人。
